How much will my shirt order cost?

Oh boy, this is the big one. While it’s hard to be very specific with this question, pricing is based on the four variables listed below:

Number of Imprints Required

Some may say it’s based on the number of colors, but really this is based on the amount of screens it will take to re-create your image on the garment.

For example: You want your company logo on the front left chest as well as larger on the back of the garment. This would be considered 2 imprints. Any colors past that would also be considered additional imprints as they would require the creating of additional screens to print.

Type of Garment:

The type of garment will have a large impact on what your final cost will be. We offer a wide range of different garments from basic t-shirts, thermal shirts, outerwear and even headwear and bags. All of the pricing will be based on the other four variables and then added to the price of the garment.

Quantity of Shirts

The quantity of shirts has a large impact on your final price as well. We don’t take any orders for less than 10 shirts, however, we are capable of printing thousands. The concept here is simple - the more you buy, the cheaper the unit price is.

Type of Ink:

We offer four different types of ink for your printing needs.

  • Plastisol Ink - This is our general purpose ink. If you’re looking for a bold, highly opaque ink, this is the one. Plastisol ink sits on top of the fabric and creates a film over it. It has the heaviest feel and generally can appear glossy. This ink is great for team or work shirts and the most affordable of our ink options.

  • Water-Based Ink - These mid-grade inks sink into the fabric of the shirts and have a much softer feel than Plastisol inks. You will still be able to feel the print, but it will be minimal. Water-Based inks don’t create a film over the fabric so the resulting garment will be very breathable. While these inks create a very soft hand, they tend to fade a bit overtime and the colors may dull with continuous washing. Great for vintage looks and paired with the right fabric will produce a soft, comfy garment.

  • Discharge Ink - Discharge is a high-end type of water-based ink that actually dyes the cotton fabric the color printed. This produces an extremely soft feel where the print will be indistinguishable from the fabric. The colors are bright and vibrant and won’t fade overtime. Since they dye the fabric permanently, your print will be there as long as you have the shirt. While discharge works best with 100% cotton shirts, we can also print it on blends and tri-blend garments for a more vintage look.

  • Specialty Inks - This category is reserved for Shimmers, Reflective Inks, Glitters, and Puff ink. If you’re interested in one of these inks, please specify when asking for the quote and we’ll be happy to help!

Please be sure to include what kind of ink you’re interested in for your project in the quote form. Can’t decide? We can answer any questions you may have about the differences and also provide more than one quote to help you make up your mind.

What kind of artwork files do I need to provide?

Vector Files are best.
Ai, EPS, or PDF are preferred and are usually ready to go with little to no preparation needed on our end.

Large photo files also work
While we can work with these just fine, some file prep may be needed before production (this would include any minor editing, cutting out images or color separation that would need to be completed before burning the final print screens.

If it’s any other type of image (ie: clipart, screenshots, or image links) these will require much more work on our end to prepare the files, and would incur design costs at our current rate.

*A one time digitizing fee of $30 is charged per design for any first time embroidery order.
